Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, to South African and British parents, Brayden started working in the hospitality industry before he even left school. Food has always played a big part in his life whilst growing up, with the whole family getting involved in the preparation of winter roasts and summer barbecues. In 2000 he moved to London where he spent 7 years gaining experience in various restaurants from rustic Mediterranean cuisine through to fine dining. Brayden is always looking for adventure and enjoys sharing his passion for food, which lead him perfectly into the yachting industry in 2007. Since then he has worked on private and charter yachts ranging between 40-50m. Brayden is always looking to broaden his repertoire and widen his skill set but he specialises in Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Brazilian and South American cuisines. Brayden is quick to laugh and has a keen love of the outdoors and particularly surfing. In his spare time at his home in Portugal, where he lives with his family, he likes to spend time enjoying the Atlantic waves.
Brayden is your go-to personal chef on board, with a wide variety of skills he can cater for all types of cuisines and occasions you may wish to experience during your stay. Having worked in the industry for quite some time he is able to cater for a vast number of dietary requirements and in general likes to provide healthy, fresh and local dishes. He will spend most of his time in his galley prepping for your next meal or out exploring the local markets to find your next dish!
